Observer

Onboard your moderators

Observer is built for a team: admins configure, moderators work the queue. Invite people from Settings → Staff.

Invites

An invite is an email address plus a role. Creating one sends the invite email and also gives you a link to share directly — both carry the same one-time token, valid for 7 days. Pending invites can be revoked; a revoked link stops working immediately.

Someone accepting an invite either joins with their existing Observer account or creates one on the spot.

The two roles

RoleCan
Moderator Work the queue (acknowledge / false-positive), read logs and conversation context, manage people records, open and work investigations, file privacy requests for review.
Admin Everything a moderator can, plus configuration: servers and their settings, ban lists and subscriptions, screening profile and dials, severity policies, staff and invites, privacy processing (verify / process / reject erasure requests, legal holds).

An org always keeps at least one admin — the last admin can't be demoted or removed.

Accounts

Name and password are self-service under Settings → Account. Changing a password signs out every other session; a forgotten password is recovered by email from the sign-in page.
